NFL playoff power rankings: Every team's playoff chances entering Week 11
The last unbeaten team in the NFL fell on Monday night, and there’s been some major movement at the top of our playoff power rankings. The Ravens’ Super Bowl chances are surging, while the NFC playoffs are shaping up to be completely wide-open.
To determine which teams have the best chance of making the playoffs in 2019, we crunched the numbers from the most recent playoff models from three major outlets – ESPN FPI, Football Outsiders, and Five Thirty Eight. Each team is ranked in order of their average projected chance to qualify for the playoffs. We’ve also included each team’s Super Bowl chances, according to the models.
BIG WINNERS FROM WEEK 10:
Steelers: The Steelers have now won four games in a row, and the schedule is favorable for Pittsburgh the rest of the way, with games against the Browns, Bengals, Browns, Cardinals, Bills and Jets before a clash with the Ravens in Week 17.
Seahawks: Despite starting the year 8-2 and knocking off the 49ers, Seattle still has work to do in the wide-open NFC. The win on Monday night raised the Seahawks’ playoff percentage to 74.9%.
BIG LOSERS FROM WEEK 10:
Rams: The Rams were a 4.5-point favorite in Pittsburgh, and Los Angeles’ playoff chances dropped to below 20% with the loss. The Rams still have to play the Ravens, Seahawks, Cowboys and 49ers this season.
Colts: Back-to-back losses to the Steelers and Dolphins by a combined six points have ravaged the Colts’ playoff hopes. Entering Week 9, the 5-2 Colts had a 70.6% chance to make the playoffs. That number has plummeted to 36.1%.
