Well it looks like Julio Jones finally got his wish to be traded by the Atlanta Falcons, the team he spent the first 10 years of his NFL career with, but the likely destination is a bit surprising.
News broke Sunday morning that Jones, one of the greatest wide receivers to ever play the game, will be traded to the Tennessee Titans. I know Titans WR AJ Brown was working hard to get Jones to join him in Tennessee but this still seems like a surprising move – Matt Ryan to Ryan Tannehill isn’t the sexiest of moves. The Titans’ offense with Brown, Jones, and Derrick Henry, though, is going to be pretty nice.

The Falcons are expected to trade Julio Jones to the Titans barring any setbacks in the next 24-48 hours, per sources. The 2 sides still are finalizing compensation but, as one source said, “I feel very good about this happening” If there are no snags, the trade official Monday.
It looks like it’s not going to take that much from the Titans to get this deal done, either:

The Falcons have agreed on terms of a trade that will send the seven-time Pro Bowler to the Tennessee Titans for a compensation package that includes a 2022 second-round NFL Draft pick, ending weeks of speculation about whether Jones would remain with the team that drafted him in 2011. All told, the Falcons will get a second-round pick next year and a 2023 fourth-round pick for Jones and a sixth-round pick in 2023.
The interesting thing about Julio Jones, A.J. Brown and Josh Reynolds is the fact that all of them have played both in the slot and outside. Now the #Titans can move all of them around the formation to create match-up problems or move them away from top CBs.
