Reports: Suns adding veteran C JaVale McGee

The Phoenix Suns have agreed to a one-year, $5 million contract with veteran center JaVale McGee, according to published reports.

The 33-year-old McGee would provide valuable depth and athleticism as a backup behind emerging star Deandre Ayton.

McGee averaged 7.3 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.2 blocked shots in 46 games last season while splitting time with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Denver Nuggets.
