Ex-NFL player Keith McCants dies at 53

Keith McCants, a first-round pick in the 1990 NFL Draft, was found dead Thursday in St. Petersburg, Fla. He was 53.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's office and the Pinellas County Medical Examiner's office told local Bay News 9 that McCants' death is under investigation.

Authorities responded to a call about an unresponsive male, where McCants was found. His cause of death has not been released.
