Lions release LB Jamie Collins

The Detroit Lions released linebacker Jamie Collins on Tuesday after failing to find a trade partner for the one-time Pro Bowl player.

The Lions acknowledged last week that Collins was on the trade block.

"He gave what he had, and we felt like it was time to move on. ... We're in a different place," Campbell said last Thursday.
