Serie A Preview | Fiorentina vs. Spezia: Italiano against his former club
Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Italiano faces his former club Spezia on Sunday, when Thiago Motta hopes to stun his predecessor and build on the four points in the last three games.
The Aquilotti travel to Florence to reunite with their former coach at the Artemio Franchi and the Viola aim to win their second home game on the bounce.
Italiano’s men have been consistent at home this term, and have only lost against Inter and Napoli at the Artemio Franchi, securing wins against Torino and Cagliari in the other two, while beating Cosenza 4-0 in the Coppa Italia.
But Spezia are fighting for their lives and are desperate for points on the road, as Motta’s team sit 17th in the table, one point above relegation.
