Barcelona keeper Ter Stegen SNUBS Lionel Messi from dream XI of stars he has played with after feud with Argentine
MARC-ANDRE TER STEGEN has snubbed Lionel Messi from his dream XI of current and former team-mates.
The Barcelona stopper, 29, has played alongside some of the biggest stars in world football during his eight years at the Nou Camp.
And having also been part of the Germany squad for a decade, Ter Stegen also has some international pals to choose from.
But the goalkeeper has left fans scratching their heads with some huge omissions.
Above all others, Messi is a notable absentee, with Ter Stegen picking Mario Gotze, Marco Reus and Frenkie de Jong in the attacking positions.
That means Neymar and Luis Suarez join Messi on the sidelines with the entire ‘MSN’ trio axed by the German.

There’s more than meets the eye, though, regarding Messi’s snub.
Last summer, shortly after the Argentine’s move to Paris Saint-Germain, Ter Stegen hinted at a feud between the two of them.
The ex-Borussia Monchengladbach ace thanked Messi for their time together but openly admitted they ‘didn’t always agree on everything’ in a post on social media.
Meanwhile, Ter Stegen picked Barcelona’s greatest-ever midfield trio – with Sergio Busquets lining up alongside Andres Iniesta and current boss Xavi.

Jordi Alba and Dani Alves were the German’s picks at full-back, with Chelsea centre-back Antonio Rudiger joining Gerard Pique in the heart of a back four.
Despite Messi’s omission, possibly the most-bizarre pick comes in goal.
Ter Stegen didn’t pick himself, or even long-time Germany pal Manuel Neuer.
Instead, the Barca star opted for Janis Blaswich – currently plying his trade for Eredivisie side Heracles.
The pair were team-mates in Gladbach’s youth set-up and even battled for a spot in the senior side before Ter Stegen’s move to Spain.
