‘You say fantastic, I disagree’ – Mourinho wants MORE from ex-Chelsea ace Abraham after breaking Batistuta’s Roma record
ROMA manager Jose Mourinho demanded more from Tammy Abraham despite his stunning debut season at the Olimpico.
Abraham led the Giallorossi to a 3-0 triumph over rivals Lazio when he opened the scoring after just 56 seconds and bagged a second 21 minutes later.
That has taken the striker’s tally to 23 goals across all competitions this season.
The England international broke a prestigious record held by Gabriel Batistuta and Vincenzo Montella, who netted 21 times on their debut campaign with Roma.
However, Mourinho wants even more out of the former Chelsea ace, who recently received an international call-up by Three Lions manager Gareth Southgate.
The Portuguese head coach knows his true potential and wants him to live up to it while under his wing.

Mourinho told DAZN: “Great performance.
“Today was really special because it seemed that everything we had planned was put on the field.
“Lazio in the second half tried to play with pride but we never lost control. No doubt, the boys deserved the victory.
“When you say Abraham is fantastic, I disagree, he can do even more.

“I demand a lot of him because I know his potential, I’m not talking about goals but he must play every game with this attitude.”
Abraham will be part of England’s squad for the friendlies against Switzerland and Ivory Coast at Wembley.
