Hanabusa and Takahashi make weight for Youth title bout
Tomorrow fight fans in Osaka will get the chance to see a Japanese Youth Featherweight title fight, as Hiroki Hanabusa (9-2-3, 3) [英洸貴] defends his title, for the first time, and takes on Toshiyuki Takahashi (7-4, 4) [髙橋利之].
Today, ahead of their bout, the two men took part in the weigh in for their contest.
On the scales a confident Hanabusa was bang on the 126lb weight limit, and explained that he is excited about the contest. The talented champion also explained that for this bout he is going to fight his usual fight, and not stress about the title.
Takahashi on the other hand was comfortable under the limit, at 125.5lbs, and looked in great shape himself. He explained that the interval between his last bout and this one was short, and that he's in Hanabusa's home, however he added that if he wins he'd get a lot of money, and he did seem hungry to prove a point heading in to this bout.
