Mariners place OF Sam Haggerty (groin) on 10-day IL

Seattle Mariners outfielder Sam Haggerty went on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a left groin strain.

Haggerty, 28, finishes the regular season batting .256 with five home runs, 23 RBIs and 13 stolen bases in 83 games.

He left Monday night's 4-3 loss to the Detroit Tigers after stealing second base in the ninth inning.
