Australian coach Gustavsson defends record following poor results
CANBERRA, Oct. 8 (Xinhua) -- The head coach of Australia's women's football team Tony Gustavsson has defended his record in the job ahead of the home World Cup in 2023.
Gustavsson said the team worked hard to achieve the three targets he was given when he was appointed head coach of the Matildas in September 2020.
The Matildas have fallen from the top 10 in FIFA's world rankings in 2020 to 12th in August
