Report: Packers rework deals, clear $16M in cap space

The Green Bay Packers reportedly cleared more than $16 million salary cap space by reworking two contracts.

They restructured deals for cornerback Jaire Alexander and defensive end Preston Smith, NFL Network said Saturday.

The Packers freed up $9.456 million with Alexander's contract and another $6.668 million with Smith's, per the report.
