Former No. 1 Garbine Muguruza extending hiatus

Former World No. 1 Garbine Muguruza is extending her hiatus through the clay and grass seasons.

The two-time Grand Slam singles champion revealed the update to her tennis schedule Monday on Instagram.

"Spending time with family and friends and it's really been healthy and amazing, so I am going to lengthen this period till summer, therefore I am going to miss clay and grass season," the 29-year-old from Spain wrote.
