Rangers’ Max Scherzer Leaves Game Early With Apparent Injury
Rangers ace Max Scherzer exited Tuesday’s game in the sixth inning against the Blue Jays due to an apparent injury.
Scherzer threw 5 1/3 scoreless innings before he was forced to leave the mound following a sequence in the middle of the sixth inning. He threw 73 pitches, allowing just three hits while striking out two.
Shortly after Scherzer left the game, the Rangers announced that Scherzer was dealing with a right triceps spasm, according to Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News.
