NFL Defensive Player of the Year odds tracker: Parsons, Garrett, Watt continue to pull away after Week 5
The race for the NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year is clearer after five weeks of play. Essentially, it’s a three-player race at the moment, barring some spectacular performance from a player on the outside.
The contenders are the three guys we’ve talked the most about all year: Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons, Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett, and Pittsburgh Steelers edge rusher TJ Watt. The odds between these three players are separated by just +150 odds. After Watt, the next player with the best odds is +1050 behind.
Of course, there’s still a lot of football to be played. There’s plenty of opportunities left for players to increase their sack totals, rack up interceptions or terrorize opposing quarterbacks in other unique ways.
Here’s a closer look at Parsons, Garrett, Watt and the others in the race after Week 5, with odds from BetMGM.
