Scherzer gets the start for the Rangers in his 28th of the season. He holds a record of 13-6 with a 3.77 ERA and 174 Ks in 152 2/3 innings pitched.
His most recent outing came on Tuesday, Sept. 12 versus the Toronto Blue Jays, when the righty went 5 1/3 scoreless innings while giving up three hits.
