There are odds for where Bill Belichick will be coaching next season and New England isn't the favorite

Longtime New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick walked off a snowy field on Sunday after a 17-3 loss to the New York Jets and into the unknown. Belichick has been the head coach in New England for 24 years and is still under contract for next season, but there is plenty of speculation he may be the head coach elsewhere next year.

There are certainly several steps that would need to happen to make that a reality (including either a trade or a firing), but sportsbooks are still able to put out a market on his landing spot for Week 1 next season, and that’s exactly what DraftKings Sportsbook has done.

The Los Angeles Chargers (+200) are the favorites to have Belichick coach them in Week 1 at DraftKings, followed by the Patriots (+300), Atlanta Falcons (+500) and Washington Commanders (+700).

Belichick not being a coach of an NFL team — meaning he presumably retired — is +700.

“I’m under contract,” Belichick told reporters following Sunday’s game. “As far as any decisions or directions or anything like that for next year is way too early for that.”
