Nepal spinner Sandeep Lamichhane has been suspended by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) following an eight-year prison sentence for raping an 18-year-old woman. The Kathmandu District Court imposed a fine of Rs 3,00,000 on Lamichhane, and he is also required to pay a compensation of Rs 2,00,000 to the victim. The CAN stated that Lamichhane has been suspended from domestic and international cricket activities as a result of the court's verdict.
