Why there's no Thursday Night Football game in the NFL Wild Card playoffs on January 11, 2024

THE NFL PLAYOFFS ARE HERE! WOO! There’s so much to be excited about as we start the road to Super Bowl 58.

Except … they don’t start for a couple of days.

If you’re hoping to see a game on Thursday night on Amazon Prime Video, I’m here to be the bearer of bad news: There’s no Thursday Night Football game on Thursday, January 11, 2024.

Why is that? Good question!

First off, The NFL finished its TNF schedule in Week 17, making sure all 32 teams played on a Thursday during the season. But also, the league doesn’t want teams unfairly getting less rest from playing this past weekend, especially in the postseason. So there will be a couple of games on Saturday, some on Sunday and one on Monday.
