Cameras Caught Lamar Jackson Uplifting C.J. Stroud After Ravens Beat Texans

The first time Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson and Houston Texans rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud met was during Week 1 of the season, Stroud’s first career start.

The two quarterbacks met again on Saturday, this time in the AFC divisional round of the playoffs. 

A lot happened during Stroud’s rookie season as he led the Texans to the playoffs. He etched his name into the history books by throwing for 4,108 yards—the third most by a rookie quarterback.

Jackson must have noticed Stroud’s impactful season as he shared his admiration for Stroud after the Ravens won 34–10 over the Texans. 

“it’s just the beginning for you, cuz. You feel me?” Jackson said. “You’re gonna be there. You hear me? They’re waiting on you.”

Stroud also told Jackson to “go win it all” during their interaction.

Jackson completed 16-of-22 passes for 152 yards and two touchdowns, while he also rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries. Stroud completed 19-of-33 passes for 175 yards.
