Christian McCaffrey’s Mom Pauses Taylor Swift Fandom: ‘She’s Dead to Us This Week’
The 49ers star's mom had no choice but to make this decision for the Super Bowl.
Christian McCaffrey's mother, faced with a predicament for the upcoming Super Bowl, has decided to boycott pop star Taylor Swift, the girlfriend of Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, and her music in the lead-up to the big game, which her son will be starring in for the San Francisco 49ers.
Swift—and Kelce—will be among the main headlines before the contest, which is why Lisa McCaffrey, during an episode of her podcast Your Mom, admitted that, despite her love for the Swift-Kelce relationship, the pop star will be "dead to us this week."

“I refuse to listen to Taylor Swift songs for the next couple days. I love her, I love the relationship, but we are boycotting any T. Swift songs. If she pops up on the radio station… nope. She’s dead to us this week, McCaffrey said.
A Swift fan who has her music on a running playlist, McCaffrey will understandably be putting that to the side to cheer on her son's 49ers squad in the big game. She'll be doing so from a Super Bowl suite, purchased by her son’s fiancee, Olivia Culpo.
Super Bowl LVIII will be kicking off on Sunday, Feb. 11 at 6:30 p.m. ET from Allegiant Stadium.
