The Baltimore Ravensagreed to terms with former Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry on Tuesday, the second day of the NFL’s legal tampering period in free agency. The league-wide response from fans was a mixture of surprise and intrigue over Baltimore’s new pairing of Henry and quarterback Lamar Jackson.
However, no one seemed to love the Ravens’ addition to the running back room more than Colorado head coach Deion Sanders. The man known as “Coach Prime” took to social media to proclaim his love of Henry joining forces with Jackson.

The Ravens led the NFL in rushing last season with 2,661 yards, 262 more than the Chicago Bears, who finished second. But with their top running back from last year, Gus Edwards, agreeing to terms with the Los Angeles Chargers, it left a void that needed to be filled.
It’s hard to argue there’s a better option to fill that void than the 2020 NFL Offensive Player of the Year, a bruising back who has twice led the NFL in rushing yards and touchdowns (2019 and ’20). Henry will form a lethal one-two punch with Jackson, who led the team in rushing last season with 821 yards.
