2024 NBA MVP Ladder: Luka Doncic’s tremendous season will (probably) be forgotten
Welcome to BetFTW’s NBA MVP ladder for the 2023-2024 season. Down the stretch, we’ll track where the wind is blowing for the biggest individual regular-season award in the league every week. Without further ado, here’s our first tracker after the All-Star break.
We’re down to the last few weeks of the NBA regular season. While the MVP race is probably a two-horse race between the Denver Nuggets’ Nikola Jokic and the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, we can’t let that make us overlook the brilliance of the Dallas Mavericks’ Luka Doncic.
Part of that is team success. Dallas has hovered near the bottom of the Western Conference playoff bracket for most of the season. But it’s through almost no fault of Doncic, who is lighting it up every night on what feels like a historic pace. What’s even scarier is that the 25-year-old likely still hasn’t his prime. So even if he doesn’t get rewarded with MVP honors, at least one in his near future seems inevitable.
Let’s take a look at the latest update in the NBA’s MVP race and see where Doncic officially stands. All odds courtesy of DraftKings.
