Saquon Barkley revealed how his daughter brutally roasted the Giants after he signed with the Eagles
As a two-time Pro Bowl running back, the all-worldly Saquon Barkley has understandably created a lot of buzz for the Philadelphia Eagles. (Well, aside from the potential tampering.) He and quarterback Jalen Hurts will likely form one of the NFL’s best backfields for a team that expects to compete for a Super Bowl every single year.
It’s important to note that Barkley’s daughter also apparently shares this high expectation.
In a new team video that highlights Barkley’s first 24 hours with the Eagles, he tells a hilarious story about his daughter. First, he notes how she had an alarmed reaction to seeing a bird after the Giants lost to the Eagles in the 2023 NFL playoffs. Understandable! Now, recently, after Barkley told her he was joining the Eagles, she candidly asked, “Does that mean we’re going to win now?”
Oh. Oh, no. How brutal (but it’s so true!):
There’s nothing quite like a child’s honesty. In Barkley’s six seasons with New York, the Giants won 34 games and qualified for the playoffs once. In that same time, the Eagles won 56 games, made the postseason five times, and won the 2023 NFC title. That is a pretty clear and distinctive discrepancy.
Barkley’s daughter clearly knows what she’s watching. No offense to the Giants, but now she probably gets to enjoy seeing her dad on a consistent winner — a real marquee team.
