Pedro hands Flamengo winning start in Brazil's Serie A

RIO DE JANEIRO, April 14 (Xinhua) -- Pedro converted a 103rd-minute penalty as Flamengo opened its Brazilian Serie A campaign with a dramatic 2-1 victory at Atletico Goianiense on Sunday.

The hosts began brightly but suffered a blow when Alix Vinicius was shown a straight red card for a bad challenge on Pedro.
