Pisa striker Nzola given 3-match ban for awful foul
Pisa striker M’Bala Nzola has been given a three-match Serie A ban for his red card, with Mario Gila, Zeki Celik and Maxi Perrone also suspended.
The Disciplinary Commission gave its verdicts following the completion of Week 14 fixtures.
Nzola lost it during Pisa defeat
Nzola was shown a straight red card in the final minutes of Pisa’s home defeat to Parma, as he lashed out at Mandela Keita in an entirely unnecessary kick.
With no attempt to play the ball, the officials clamped down on this behaviour, and Nzola has been handed a rare three-match Serie A ban.
It means he will be forced to sit out big Pisa matches against Lecce, Cagliari and Juventus, not returning until 2026.
The other suspensions are all for one match as an automatic response to either a red card or an accumulation of bookings during the season.
They are for Lazio defender Mario Gila, Roma’s Zeki Celik, and Como midfielder Maxi Perrone.
