The playmate sold her story to the National Enquirer for $150,000 at which point the Enquirer's official version of events was that the story was weak so it was not published...the New Yorker's story indicates that David Pecker, head publisher of AMI, the Enquirer's parent company, is one of Trump's best friends so he bought, and 'killed' the story.
