White House blames Russia for large-scale cyber attack that crippled Ukraine before spreading to the world

The virus of June 2017 crippled Ukraine's infrastructure before spreading to computers in other countries of the world.The White House has for the first time condemned the catastrophic cyber attack it claims Russia unleashed last year - crippling Ukraine's infrastructure.

The virus - known as Notpetya - also spread to computers across the world causing significant damage.
