A black ice cream has been claimed by its owners to be 'one of a kind' since squid ink is being used to give this treat a uniquely dark colour. Footage filmed in the South Korean port of Jumunjin on Monday shows visitors who are curious enough to try the frozen delicacy. According to customers, the ice cream is 'bittersweet', as the squid ink alters the flavor. Overall, those willing to give the treat a try seem to enjoy it, and as word spreads, more have been drawn to the port specifically to taste the unusual delicacy.
"This ice cream can only be found in the Jumunjin region and it's becoming more popular among tourists," said the ice cream shop seller Lee Seung Hyeon.
As the Jumunjin port is close to the Olympic venues, tourists can easily pop down and brighten up their day with the squid-themed specialty.
