It is alleged that +-10 suspects who were driving in four vehicles, a black Mercedes, two BMWs, one grey and one black, as well as a white bakkie, opened fire at the Fidelity Security armoured bakkie, which was coming from Malalane side and heading towards Mbombela until it came to halt. They then forced out the guards, then blasted the vehicle using explosives and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. One Fidelity guard was injured and their firearms taken.
