UK university staff begin strike action in pensions row

Members of the University and College Union marched together today (February 22) in Glasgow along with staff from the Open Univerisity in a row over pensions.

A UK-wide strike is aimed at challenging a new pension scheme that unions say will leave a typical lecturer almost lb10,000 a year worse off in retirement.
