One of my new hobbies to relieve stress is to tend to my outside creations. These include a small pond, plumeria plants and milkweed (Asclepias curassavica). The milkweed attracts butterflies, as it is the only plant a monarch butterfly will lay eggs on. Contrary to past studies, I have not had one chrysalis produce a crippled butterfly. Here is a chrysalis that came off with a branch when my son was playing. Other butterflies included. We've had about 10 hatch, we still have 15 chrysalis hanging.
