After brutal knife attack: delinquent had already been in jail, asked for his own deportation twice

Vienna, AUSTRIA: A few days after a brutal and unmotivated knife attack it turns out that the supect, an (allegedly) 23 yrs. old man from Afghanistan, is anything but a stranger to the law enforcement authorities. The aggressive Afghani had been arrested in an Austria jailhouse already from late August to early December after he was sentenced for numerous drug delicts.

And more than that: not only had his application for asylum long been rejected, so that there was no obvious reason to not deport the criminal man instantly after his jail sentence was over, the Afghani man was set free and has since tried to get deported voluntarily twice, but authorities did not react accordingly.
