Various night shots of gunfire. Various daytime shots of gunfire and troops advancing. Units from Cameroon and Free French troops walk along as cars and tanks drive through towards Damascus. Various shots as they enter the city and people cheer and wave. M/S of General Legentilhomme with his arm in a sling, he gets out of a car followed by General Catroux to accept the formal surrender of the City. The Guard of Honour stands to attention. M/S of Government house.
