Barclays settles on toxic securities

Barclays is pay EUR1.6 billion to settle claims from investors who bought toxic mortgage-backed securities in the run-up to the 2007 financial crisis, the US Justice Department has said.

The settlement is below market expectations and analysts says it's a good result for the bank.
