Body camera footage from the officer involved shooting

The Owasso Police Department has released the body camera footage from the officer involved shooting that took place March 21st in the Lake Valley Neighborhood. Officers Casey Lawson and Laura Lehner responded to an address on East 108th Place North in Owasso in reference to a concern that Duane Preciado was at that address and was threatening suicide.

Police responded to the area near North 151st East Avenue and East 108th late Wednesday night to find a man reportedly holding an AK-47 rifle.

Investigators say that after ignoring repeated commands to drop the weapon and then proceeding toward and threatening the officers on the scene, the 39-year-old Preciado was shot when both officers fired their weapons.
