Pilot rule of thumb info; a PAN if you think you might land with less than reserves and a MAYDAY if you know you will ...or less than 30 minutes PAN - Less than 15 minutes MAYDAY. Or PAN PAN - We are in deep s*** but not much of a risk of being killed dead. MAYDAY - We are in deep s*** and will be dead shortly, Hi Jesus!
