Gorilla Gives Birth With No Epidural
For the first time in nine years, staff at the Smithsonian's National Zoo are celebrating the birth of a male western lowland gorilla. Born on April 15, the baby is named Moke, which means "junior" or "little one" in the Lingala language. (April 16)
According to the new genetic research-when combined with known fossils-the lineage that led to humans, chimps, and gorillas evolved from a common ancestor about 10 million years ago. Humans and chimps then popped off of that lineage some 6 million years ago, according to the new study.
Chimps are our closest relative and it's not difficult to see the resemblance, vicious killers, fly into rages easily, always fighting, basically a horrible animal - Jane Goodall lied about them for 20 years, a disgrace to all scientists.
