Elderly woman miraculously survives after being knocked off moped
This is the shocking moment a 50-year-old woman is knocked off her moped and dragged under the wheels of a pick-up truck - and survives.
Buntan Gaseewong had pulled out into the central crossing before a white truck driven by Kaysorn Pensawat, 39, pulled up behind her in Kanchanaburi, Thailand.
The driver knocked Buntan to the ground, then dragged her under the car before she re-appeared behind it. Miraculously, she sat up and recovered with only minor grazes.
Kaysorn drove away without stopping to check but was later caught by police and arrested for ''driving with negligence, causing injuries and property damage''.
She admitted driving the vehicle and told officers she did not see the motorcyclist and tried to avoid her at the last moment.
But she was ''shocked'' when she accelerated away and had not intended to flee the scene of the accident at the intersection in the Sangkhla Buri district.
Police said Kaysorn agreed to pay 2,000 baht which was given to the victim in compensation.
Road traffic officer Lieutenant Colonel Chackchai Panumas said: ''After the incident, the driver negotiated the damages with the injured at the police station.
''Miss Kaysorn Pensawat was charged and legal procedures are now being followed to prosecute her.''
