An aircraft carrier fleet belonging to the Chinese Navy carried out comprehensive attack and defense exercises in the Western Pacific for the first time. Japanese Defense Ministry ordered one of their P-3 Orion patrol plane to return to base after it challenged by a J-15 in southern Japan. Japan has never encountered a Chinese fighter jet so far from Chinese mainland in the Pacific that they thought it was a American F-18 flying from Guam at first.
