Peru: 2 German tourists dead after bus plunges into ravine

A minibus plunged down a mountainside in southern Peru, Friday, killing two German tourists and injuring at least 12 other people, according to media reports citing police.

The bus was travelling between Arequipa and the town of Chivay when it swerved off the road and plummeted around 20 metres (65 feet) into a ravine.

Survivors were reportedly taken to a hospital in Arequipa.
