Record Store Day skips area

Record Store Day, a nationwide one-day event today, touts itself on its website as "a celebration of the unique culture surrounding over 700 independently owned record stores in the USA." Major recording artists such as Katy Perry, White Stripes and Wilco will be releasing music on vinyl records, but those physical pieces of music likely won't be headed to the Capital Region.
