The San Francisco Board of Supervisors has voted to restrict delivery robots to areas with very minimal foot traffic and only for research purposes. From Wired:

Unlike self-driving cars, or at least self-driving cars working properly, these bots roll on sidewalks, not streets. That gives them the advantage of not dealing with the high-speed chaos of roads, other than crossing intersections, but also means they have to deal with the cluttered chaos of sidewalks. Patreon has set up a new payment model that’s supposed to make artists’ lives easier, but could discourage small-time patrons from making pledges. Yesterday, Patreon announced that it would no longer take payment processing fees out of an artist’s monthly funds. Starting December 18th, it will charge those fees to patrons, adding a service fee of 2.9 percent, plus 35 cents on each pledge.

At least two teenagers were killed in a shooting at a high school in the southwestern U.S. state of New Mexico, local officials said Thursday. The assailant was also killed, police said, though it was not immediately clear whether the shooter was a student. The deadly incident took place at Aztec High School, which has been evacuated, according to New Mexico state police.
