Pantone announced “Ultra-Violet” as the official 2018 Color of the Year, a bright, highlighter hue used throughout history to represent political symbolism. Tonight, US spaceflight startup Rocket Lab is set to launch its experimental Electron rocket for the second time. The test flight will validate if the vehicle is ready for sending small commercial payloads to orbit. The rocket is slated to take off from the company’s launch facility in New Zealand, sometime after 2:30PM NZT (9:30PM ET). (AP) — A federal judge in Kansas has dismissed a man's drug indictment, citing misconduct by a prosecutor who was criticized earlier this year for her handling of case in the 1990s that caused a man to be imprisoned for nearly 23 years for a crime he didn't commit. HONOLULU (AP) — A derelict fishing boat has been removed from the shores of a famous tourist mecca in Honolulu. Salvage crews Thursday morning were able to pull the Pacific Paradise out to deeper water after it had been grounded off Waikiki beach for nearly two months.
