Estate Tax Lobbying

Cato Institute

Pundits of every political persuasion decry corporate lobbying in Washington, and a major tax bill is a great opportunity for businesses to gain benefits if they convince members of Congress to help them out. However, battles over tax provisions are sometimes not what they appear on the surface.

Football and the art of telling lies (6 replies)

Small Heath Alliance

All football clubs have issues, all managers are one-eyed, all those who take money from the game are keen to protect their own interests but the sheer amount of bare-faced lying in football really does my swede in tbh. It's so prevalent that for someone to tell the truth (or at least their version of it) they have to do it anonymously or in 'an explosive tell-all' autobiography written well after they've left the game. I don't really understand how or why fans can remain loyal to a sport that constantly bullshits them.

Fantasy football: Injuries sure to cause disruptions on rosters

Some injuries hurt more than others: David Johnson’s broken wrist in Week 1 and Aaron Rodgers’ collarbone injury five weeks later leap to mind.
