Los Angeles Police are searching for a man who was caught on camera breaking into homes in Studio City between November 28 and December 3, wearing a Santa hat and scarf. The LAPD press release said the suspect knocked on doors and rang door bells to assess if anyone was home. “When no one answered the door, the suspect would gain entry to the backyards of the homes, smash a rear patio sliding door or back window, then enter the homes,” the press release said. “Once inside, the suspect removed cash, jewelry, safes, and firearms before leaving. PITTSFIELD, Mass. (AP) — An appeals court has dealt another blow to a Massachusetts museum's effort to sell 40 works of art, including two by Norman Rockwell. A judge on Wednesday granted state investigators more time to review the sale. The Berkshire Museum last week urged the Massachusetts Appeals Court to let the case quickly proceed to trial, telling the court that it is struggling financially and needs the fight over the art sale to be resolved as quickly as possible. LANSING, Mich. (AP) — A Michigan legislative committee has approved spending $23 million to address what state regulators say is an emerging problem of contamination caused by toxic chemicals used in industrial products. The funding is included in a supplemental budget bill passed Wednesday. The full Legislature could OK the bill later in the day before adjourning for the year.
