Bitcoin's value is skyrocketing — here's how to figure out if you should sell

BusinessInsider.com

Dado Ruvic/Reuters

  • It's a tough choice to decide whether to sell some of your bitcoin or keep all of it invested.
  • Some experts recommend selling between 20% and 50% if you are risk-averse or have pressing financial needs.
  • It also makes sense to sell some of your bitcoin if you don't want to wait years for a potentially massive payoff.

If you had invested $100 in bitcoin seven years ago, it would be worth around $28 million today.

Even if you had hopped on the train three years ago... Читать дальше...

Why won't Lions coach Jim Caldwell admit what his favorite movie is?

SB Nation: Toronto Raptors

We might have an actual answer.

On Wednesday, Lions head coach Jim Caldwell was asked what his favorite movie was, and he gave quite the answer:

Jim Caldwell asked about his favorite movie, said he cares not to share cause he doesn't want it to be misunderstood and doesn't want to explain it.

— Dave Birkett (@davebirkett) December 13, 2017

That’s weird to want to deflect on a movie opinion like that. Who would have thought that Caldwell would have movie takes so off the wall that he would be afraid to share them? Читать дальше...

‘Art of Fielding’ plagiarism accuser urges judge not to toss case

New York Post

A Texas man has asked a judge not to toss his plagiarism case against Chad Harbach, claiming the author’s “The Art of Fielding” is uniquely similar to an unpublished work he wrote around the same time. “[They] have the same unconventional premise and setting: a small, obscure and financially struggling (yet academically proud) liberal arts...

Americans are about to lose a tax deduction worth over $500 billion every year — here's what to do now before Trump's tax plan goes into effect

BusinessInsider.com

Thomson Reuters

  • President Donald Trump's tax plan could go into effect as early as January 1, 2018, if Republicans manage to pass their final tax reform bill.
  • Ahead of the looming changes, taxpayers can make end-of-year tax moves now, such as pre-paying their property taxes for next year.
  • If your property tax bill is greater than $10,000, you'll be able to deduct more by paying next year's bill early.

It looks like the Republican tax plan might actually be passed before the end of the year. Читать дальше...

Back on topic.

If Perez wanted to take the Toronto v Toulouse game 'on the road' and Toronto are serious about developing and growing the sport in Canada then they should have taken the match to Quebec.

Think about it.

Perez makes it look as though he is pulling the RFLs strings. It looks to me and no doubt many others that Torontos structure is nowhere near ready for SL, to be unable to plan a proper season (11 away games on the trot... Читать дальше...

  • The Redskins responded with a statement that made clear they had no plans on changing their name any time soon.

McDonald's and Chick-fil-A are making iceberg lettuce cooler than kale

BusinessInsider.com

Turkey and the Wolf

  • Over-saturation has finally killed kale as it arrives on McDonald's and Chick-fil-A's menus.
  • The much-besmirched iceberg lettuce is poised to take its place as the new trendy green of choice.
  • Iceberg is already popping up on trendy restaurants' menus — which makes sense because it is delicious and a perfect fit for this cultural and political moment.

The reign of kale is over — thank god.

And, there's a new green back... Читать дальше...
