Dave Smolenaars – national coach of the Dutch Juniors – has announced the eighteen-man selection for the World Cup-21 in Chile (November 29 – December 10). Noa Muller (Amsterdam) and Mea de Vries (Kampong) did not survive the final selection. They have been designated as reserves.

In a thrilling opening match of the Pan American Games field hockey competition, Team Canada displayed their quality as they triumphed over Brazil, securing a 2-0 victory. This back-and-forth showdown left Canadian hockey fans excited as their team took the first step toward the medal rounds.
Day 1 continued with men’s Pool A play at the XIX Pan American Games at Estadio Nationale in Santiago, Chile as four goals from Thomas Domene propelled Argentina 10-1 over Mexico. An excited home crowd fueled the Chileans to a dominant 15-0 win over Peru featuring 11 different scorers.
The opening games of the XIX Pan American Games saw the North American sides come out victorious in Pool B play. Up first, the Canadian Red Caribou downed Brazil 2-0, while the USA stormed to a 6-1 victory over Trinidad and Tobago at Estadio Nationale in Santiago, Chile.
