HSI are delighted to be running the Foal Championship for 2023. The HSI Sport Horse and Sport Pony Foal Championship has a very generous prize fund of €26,000 and will aim to identify, evaluate, and reward breeders who have bred a foal that has the potential to be competitive at the highest level in the disciplines of showjumping or eventing. This year there will be 4 provincial qualifiers held in September and October with separate categories for horses and ponies and separate sections for potential showjumping foals and potential eventing foals. At each of the qualifiers 2 horse and 2 pony foals will be selected for the Final: the best show jumping type, and the best eventing type as well as one Traditional horse foal per province.
