Blame Nnamdi Kanu if anything BAD happens to Igbos in the north - Igbo group cries
- The south east restoration group has accused Nnamdi Kanu of carrying out criminal activities using Biafra as a cover
- The group’s leader Charles Mbani inferred that Kanu and his supporters were induced by 'cheap substances' and were the greatest threats to Igbos
- He asked security agents to be on alert to forestall any outbreak of ethnic violence anywhere in the country
Igbo people have been asked by the Southeast Restoration Group to hold Nnamdi Kanu responsible if anything happens to their kinsmen in Nigeria.
The group stated this following the tension in the country over the eviction notice given to Igbos in the north by the Northern Youth Coalition (NYC).
According to the group, Kanu, who is the leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB), is defrauding and deceiving innocent Igbos to rebel against the Nigerian government, using the agitation for Biafra as a cover.

The national coordinator of the group, Charles Mbani, said in a statement that Kanu and his collaborators were “hell bent on destroying the hard-earned resources of Igbos in Nigeria through their actions, with grave danger for the peaceful co-existence of Nigeria as the only country that we can all call our own.”
He stated further: “Let us make it abundantly it clear that the self-centered, selfish and criminally minded Biafra agitation that was conceived by Kanu, his political sponsors and gang of criminals who are always high on cheap substance alone is the greatest threats to the Igbos not only in the north but everywhere in the country including the south-east where Nnamdi’s IPOB and its collaborators known as MASSOB have continued to use threats and intimidation to destroy the economic life of the Igbo people.”
The group further called for alertness on the part of security operatives, asking them to do the needful if any ethnic group anywhere in the country takes up arms against another.

Recall that NAIJ.com had earlier reported that the Biafra Independent Movement (BIM) has warned the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, against instigating Biafran youths towards violent agitation.
The BIM zonal leader for Ebonyi Central, Chief Gideon Iloke, gave the warning while addressing newsmen on the outcome of the May 30 Biafran Day celebration.
He noted that the United Nations and the international community frown at the use of violence in separatist agitations, adding that it was the reason Chief Uwazurike-led pro-Biafra group adopted non-violence in the pursuit of Biafran freedom.
